امروزه درمان ناباروری به صورت یک درمان فوق تخصصی گروهی با داشتن امکانات و تجهیزات منحصر به فرد در مراکز درمان ناباروری ارائه می‌شود. زوج‌هایی که نگران ناباروری خود هستند، بدون اتلاف وقت باید به این مراکز مراجعه کنند.
متأسفانه در بررسی سوابق زوج‌های نابارور کشورمان، با زوج‌هایی مواجه می‌شویم که در برخی موارد ۱۵ تا ۲۵ سال، به صورت متفرقه برای درمان ناباروری خود تلاش کرده‌اند و اغلب آن‌ها بدون دستیابی به نتیجه، سن باروری خود را از دست داده‌اند. توصیۀ ما به زوج‌های نابارور مراجعۀ مستقیم به مراکز درمان ناباروری است. مرکز فوق تخصصی درمان ناباروری و سقط مکرر ابن سینا زیر نظر پژوهشگاه فناوری‌های نوین علوم زیستی جهاد دانشگاهی ـ ابن سینا با همکاری مشترک مرکز ART دانشگاه USHCL آلمان، از پاییز 1382 فعالیت خود را آغاز کرد.
مرکز فوق تخصصی ابن سینا با برخورداری از شش کلینیک درمان ناباروری، درمان سقط مکرر، درمان‌های جایگزین (اهدا)، سلامت جنسی، کلینیک اندومتریوز، کلینیک سلامت مادر، جنین و نوزاد ارائۀ خدمات پاراکلینیکی به عنوان مرکز منحصر به فرد در ارائۀ خدمات اهدا به زوج‌های نابارور به فعالیت می‌پردازد. همچنین، مرکز فوق تخصصی ابن سینا نخستین مرکزی است که به صورت اختصاصی در کشور به درمان سقط مکرر و عدم موفقیت مکرر در درمان ناباروری می‌پردازد.
این مرکز به منظور ارائۀ خدمات در فضایی مناسب تر، از ابتدای سال 1390 از محل سابق خود در خیابان نیاوران، به ساختمان جدیدی در خیابان شریعتی، ابتدای خیابان یخچال منتقل شد و مدیران، مسئولان و کادر تخصصی و درمانی آن به صورت تمام وقت و با جدیدترین روش‌های علمی و توانمندی‌های زیر، در حال ارائۀ خدمات به مراجعان محترم‌اند: رعایت آخرین استانداردهای ملی و بین المللی در زمینۀ نیروی انسانی مجرب، تجهیزات کامل (تشخیصی – درمانی) و فضای فیزیکی مناسب برای ارائۀ خدمات جراحی‌های تخصصی (Day Clinic) و درمان‌های ناباروری و سقط مکرر همکاری علمی و درمانی مشترک با مرکز ART دانشگاه USHCL آلمان که از معتبرترین مراکز درمان ناباروری و سقط مکرر در اروپا است.
طراحی، نصب و بهره برداری سیستم جامع مدیریت اطلاعات بیماران نابارور، برای نخستین بار در کشور (Paperless System) انجام همۀ شیوه‌های درمان ناباروری و سونوگرافی‌های مرتبط درمان‌های تخصصی مربوط به سقط‌های مکرر اهدای گامت، جنین و روش رحم جایگزین ارائۀ خدمات مربوط به حفظ باروری (انجماد تخمک، انجماد اسپرم و انجماد بافت‌های زایشی (تخمدان و بیضه)) ارائۀ خدمات حمایتی، اجتماعی و روانشناختی برای زوج‌های نابارور انجام جراحی‌های تشخیصی و درمانی زنان و مردان (لاپاروسکوپی، هیستروسکوپی، لیزر لاپاروسکوپی و … ) کنترل بارداری‌های پرخطر، شناسایی و درمان مشکلات جنین، بررسی سلامت جنین در دوران بارداری با تکنیک‌های پیشرفتۀ سونوگرافی بررسی و درمان تبخال حاد و راجعه، آبله مرغان، زونا، سیتومگالوویروس (CMV) و منونوکلئوز عفونی مشاوره‌های داخلی، غدد، عفونی، ناتوانی جنسی، جنین‌شناسی، روانپزشکی، اهدا، حقوقی، ایمونولوژی تولید مثل و سقط مکرر، سلامت جنسی، ژنتیک ( مشاورۀ ژنتیک قبل از ازدواج، کاریوتایپ و … ) تشخیص و درمان بیماری‌های انتقال یابنده از راه تماس جنسی (STI) تشخیص و کنترل عفونت‌های تبخالی (هرپس ویروس‌ها) ارائۀ مشاوره و درمان تخصصی به افراد دارای مشکلات جنسی و مهارت‌های ارتباطی بررسی و درمان اختلالات عملکرد جنسی آزمایشگاه‌های تخصصی آندرولوژی، ژنتیک سلولی و مولکولی، پاتولوژی، تشخیص طبی، ایمونولوژی و فلوسیتومتری، بررسی اتوپسی جنین تشخیص نقایص ژنتیکی قبل از انتقال جنین به رحم(PGD)، تعیین جنسیت جنین قبل از انتقال جنین(Sex Selection)، تشخیص بیماری‌های ژنتیکی قبل از تولد(PND)و نمونه گیری از جفت و مایع جنین تأسیس بانک DNA زوج‌های نابارور و مبتلا به سقط مکرر کاهش انتخابی جنین در افراد با حاملگی چند قلویی رادیولوژی و فلوروسکوپی (هیستروسالپنگوگرافی)

The therapeutic protocols are the same for both domestic and foreign patients. The only difference is that short-term cycles are applied for the foreign patients due to the restriction exists on their accommodation.
Prior to referring, couples have to bring their passport and translated marriage certificate into Farsi which endorsed by affiliated embassy in Iran. Couples should follow this process through their embassy after they arrive in Iran.
Kindly notice, informed letter of consents will be obtained in cases that the applicants’ age is over 42 y 12 m and also when the patients insist to continue the treatment while they show poor response towards ovarian stimulation. It is emphasized that the informed letter of consent is obtained from the couples before proceeding for their treatment. Iranians residing abroad have also the possibility to enjoy this unit.
The number of possible ICSI cycles for each couple varies on the basis of individuals’ condition and their specialist view, but 4 to 5 cycles could be conducted in total. The minimum interval between two ICSI cycles is 3 months. Two months gap is required to perform ICSI and transfer frozen embryo, while this interval is reduced to 1 month for IUI cycles. A number of three good-quality embryos could be transferred per cycle. (In this case also the final decision varies in each subject). Initial assessments in woman include medical exam, Salpingography, Pap test, uterus and ovaries ultrasounds besides ovarian reserve test. Semen analysis test and HIV assessment, Hepatitis B and C, VDRL and Karyotype (if it is necessary) are among the initial tests required for male initial exam. It is mandatory to perform HIV screening, Hepatitis B and C and VDRL tests.
