Dr. Seyyed Hassan Qazizadeh Hashemi
Dr. Seyyed Hassan Qazizadeh Hashemi, the founder of Noor Eye Hospital, was born in Fariman, Khorasan, in 1959. He completed his elementary school education in Fariman and his high school education at Ferdowsi high school in Mashhad. He entered Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in 1979. After completing his undergraduate education in medicine, he completed his ophthalmology specialty training at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in 1989 and began his professional career in 1989 with completing his residency in Khorasan. He completed his fellowship training in “Cornea and Anterior Segment” at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. He is an associate professor of Tehran University of Medical Sciences who served as the Minister of Health and Medical Education from 2013 to 2019 in the administration of President Hassan Rouhani.
He is the member of Iranian Society of Ophthalmology, American Academy of Ophthalmology, European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, International Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
