Professor Mohammadali Yousefnia, an internationally renowned surgeon and advocate for patient care, was born in 1948 in Ghom. He received his medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, the largest & the best medical university in Iran. He completed his General Surgery residency at Tehran University of Medical Sciences and then embarked on several years of intensive postgraduate training in Cardiac Surgery. He completed Cardiac Surgery at Iran University of Medical Sciences, his Cardiac Surgery Fellowship at Hospital for Sick Children in London and Cardiac Surgery Fellowship at University of London-Guy’s Hospital in London.
Professor Mohammadali Yousefnia is a member of The Society of Thoracic Surgeons, European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery and Chairman of the Board of the Iranian Society of Cardiovascular Surgeons. He is a full professor of Cardiac Surgery at Iran University of Medical Sciences (IUMS).
He has treated more than 35000 patients! In addition, he has performed the latest surgical techniques in pediatric cardiac surgery.
